The difference between a luxury itinerary and an ordinary hotel upgrade is attention to where you stay and what you can actually do from that location. A premium camp far from the seasonal wildlife area may mean long mornings in the vehicle. We prefer a room with the right setting, guiding arrangements that suit your party, and a realistic connection to Zanzibar. Domestic flights can save road time but still operate on schedules, sometimes with intermediate stops.
Ten-day itinerary: where you travel and sleep
This is a sample route to help you decide whether the trip suits your dates. Accommodation names, transport sectors and park activity times are final only after availability is checked and the itinerary is confirmed in writing.
Day 1 — Private arrival transfer and lodge check-in
Meet your driver after landing and check into your confirmed Arusha lodge. We recommend keeping this first evening relaxed. Your travel consultant will confirm dietary requests, camp details, guide and air tickets before the safari begins.

Day 2 — Fly to Serengeti
Take a booked scheduled flight to the airstrip serving your camp. A private guide meets you for the first game drive and transfers you to the property. Bush-plane luggage allowances differ from international flights, so bring appropriately sized soft bags.

Day 3 — Explore the Serengeti with your guide
Start when conditions are good for wildlife viewing and spend the day in the camp’s operating area. A private vehicle lets you pause at sightings without following another family’s preferences. Return for dinner and the overnight stay.

Day 4 — A second full wildlife day
Look for plains wildlife, predators and birdlife, choosing a route based on recent sightings rather than an advertised guarantee. The Great Migration may be elsewhere in the ecosystem during your dates.

Day 5 — Choose a longer or slower game-drive day
This fourth night means the group does not need to pack and move again. You can take a picnic for a longer drive or split the outings around a lodge rest. Optional premium activities require an advance booking.

Day 6 — Serengeti to Ngorongoro highlands
Travel by road via the conservation area, with formalities and rest stops. This is a transfer day even if game viewing occurs en route. Spend the night at the named lodge near the crater or in Karatu.

Day 7 — Ngorongoro Crater
Descend with the guide for crater wildlife viewing. Black rhinos are possible but sightings cannot be promised. Return to the lodge and enjoy another highland evening instead of forcing a rushed onward flight.

Day 8 — Fly from northern Tanzania to Zanzibar

Day 9 — Zanzibar beach day
Enjoy the beach or ask us for one arranged activity that fits the coast. Tide conditions and travel times vary widely across the island. A luxury room classification should be accompanied by the exact room name and inclusions.

Day 10 — Zanzibar departure
Transfer to the airport according to your onward ticket, with enough time for traffic and check-in. If you need a mainland connection we will put that flight, baggage allowance and transfer in writing.

That is how we work out the actual route instead of giving you an attractive itinerary that cannot be operated on your chosen dates. Where an internal flight, boat or permit is involved, we check availability before it appears as a confirmed inclusion.
We will give you a written quotation naming each overnight location, room or campsite category, the vehicle and guiding arrangements, meal plan, park fees, transfer sectors, optional activities and the payment and cancellation terms. Wildlife sightings are natural events and are not promised. If your flight arrival makes the first day too short, we will adjust the activities rather than sell you a full game drive you cannot enjoy.

Are the bush flights private?
Not unless the final quote says charter. Many luxury guests use scheduled light-aircraft flights with other passengers and possible stops. Ask for the airstrip, timetable, baggage limit and ground pickup.
Can Zanzibar be extended?
Yes. The displayed two Zanzibar nights are short. Adding nights is often the best upgrade if rest is important; otherwise we can reduce the safari section only after discussing the trade-off.
