Day 1 — Arusha to Tarangire and Your First Lodge
Meet your driver-guide after breakfast and begin the road safari in Tarangire. Elephant country is particularly rewarding for first-time guests, but the real benefit of a lodge itinerary comes in the evening: a proper room, hot shower and meals you can enjoy without setting up camp. The confirmed property should be positioned sensibly for tomorrow.

Day 2 — Lake Manyara to Karatu Lodge
Spend the morning on a game drive through Lake Manyara’s forest and lakeside scenery, then continue to Karatu. The park can be excellent for birds and primates; no specific lion sighting is assured. Capable will identify the proposed lodge and room type, rather than simply describing every bed as luxury.

Lake Manyara offers shade, forest scenery and birdlife. Reaching Karatu before evening gives you time to settle in rather than having another long transfer after dinner.
Day 3 — Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Leave Karatu early, descend to Ngorongoro Crater and explore its mosaic of grassland, wetlands and forest edges. The picnic and wildlife driving hours are planned around park rules. Return to a comfortable lodge for dinner so you are not forced into a lengthy night transfer.

Your room is particularly welcome after an early crater start. We will confirm the breakfast or packed-meal arrangement with the lodge so the early departure is practical.
Day 4 — Karatu to Arusha
Enjoy breakfast and head towards Arusha after a relaxed checkout. If your group wishes, the guide can suggest a short stop on the way, provided it is on the planned route and does not risk your departure flight. The final drop-off and any extra airport hotel night are listed in the booking.

A permanent lodge is different from basic camping and can also differ from an en-suite tented camp. Ask for the room category, bathroom arrangement and whether electricity or Wi-Fi are reliable; marketing labels alone are not enough.
